Window Light

I found this light inside a traditional hall in Ningbo. The sun comes through a carved lattice window and prints its pattern across the dark wooden benches and the floor.

Light like this doesn’t stay. As the sun moves, the squares slide across the room and climb the wall, so the photograph is really a record of one position of the sun.
