I saw him from across the street: a Panama hat, a pale polo shirt, a yellow bag on his arm and the newspaper already open before he had left the newsstand. Behind him hang the flags of Siena’s contrade, the city districts that race each other in the Palio.

I used a long lens so I would not interrupt him.
